Connie Neininger

Senior Advisor

Connie Neininger is an independent consultant for community and economic development and renewable energy in Indiana. She started her consulting business, CN Consulting LLC, in December 2019 to focus on rural economic development and renewable energy.

Neininger worked with the Indiana State Department of Agriculture (ISDA) from June 2013 to December 2019 and served in positions supporting economic and business development in agriculture. Before joining ISDA, Neininger served as the President of the Cass Logansport Economic Development Organization and prior to her service with Cass County, Indiana, she was the Economic Development Director for White County, Indiana from 2006 through 2012.

While in her White County position, she served as the Community Coordinator for the White County HomeTown Competitiveness program and was an Advisor and Treasurer with the BioTown USA Development Authority since its inception in 2006. Among the economic development projects Neininger has been involved with are the $1.2 billion Meadow Lake wind farm, the BioTown® USA Development Authority, the construction of two methane-conversion energy plants by Waste Management at Liberty Landfill, and a $350 million iron ore pellet plant, converted from an ethanol facility, in Reynolds, Indiana.

Neininger spent over 18 years in White County’s banking industry before helping organize the White County Community Foundation in 1998. She assumed the Executive Director’s position for the Community Foundation and served in that role for seven years.

She served on the executive committee for WISER (Western Indiana Sustainable Energy Resource), and was the Co-Chair of Indiana’s Technology Corridor, a regional partnership of nine economic development organizations. Neininger also served on the board of the MidAmerica Economic Development Council, a 10-state regional membership organization. She has an Associate of Science in business from Indiana Wesleyan University.
